Iolite Trillion Cut Pendant

Iolite is known as the Viking's compass as according to legend, they used iolite slices to reduce glare when checking the sun’s position. Iolite is strongly pleochomatic appearing either blue or purple depending on the light source or time of day. This lovely pendant features a trillion cut Iolite that has been faceted and set locally. The stone features interesting inclusions and colour shifts indicative of a natural specimen. The piece measures 7mm x 7mm and is presented in a sterling silver claw setting on a 45cm Italian sterling silver fine curb chain. Note: we can make matching studs to request.
