YAEYAMA I EMERALD
YAEYAMA RING
The story is where the jungle meets the sea — Ishigaki, part of the Yaeyama Islands. This ring features a 1.1ct recrystallised emerald, three Australian sapphires, and two natural diamonds, all set in 18K yellow gold. The layout is loose and flowing, with an oceanic energy that echoes the reefs and tangled green of Okinawa.
再結晶エメラルド (recrystallised emeralds) are made from offcuts gathered from the jewellery industry — shards of natural Colombian emerald taken to a super high temperature, where they recrystallise into a new emerald. The result is chemically identical to a mined stone, with no glass, no adhesives, and no filler. A sustainable approach to using what would otherwise be discarded.
