AZOLLA GARNET DROPS

Azolla is a micro water plant, ancient and tenacious. Our earrings take their name and their texture from it. The surface granulation, an ancient goldsmithing technique, evokes a canopy of foliage at close range, each tiny fused sphere suggesting something botanical and alive.

The drops feature natural pear-shaped garnets, 1.0ct each (7mm x 5mm), in a deep scarlet with the kind of warmth that reads differently in every light.

Garnets have been worn for centuries as stones of strength and protection, and remain the birthstone for January. Set in sterling silver on handmade hooks.
