Our SELENE PENDANT celebrates our signature half moon cut. This pendant features a rose cut Australian sapphire in a custom made white gold setting.
The sapphire was cut by talented Queensland artisan Alexandra Gander. It measures 8.25mm x 5.6mm. It weighs 1.08ct. This particularly rare sapphire has the silky iridescence of gems such as labradorite or moonstone with the durability and preciousness of a sapphire.
This work is presented on a locally made solid white gold chain.
In Greek Mythology Selene is the goddess of the Moon. She is the daughter of the Titans Hyperion and Theia, and sister of the sun god Helios. She drives her moon chariot across the heavens.
